What's New at the Green Kids Club
Tis the season! Give the gift of reading and eco-cuddles with one of our gift sets. We’ve just gotten in some adorable new stuffed animals that go along with the animals featured in our books. (here)
Mark your calendar! We’re having an open house at our office in downtown Idaho Falls (477 Shoup Ave, Ste 103) on Thursday, December 6 from 3:30-6:30pm. Come have some snacks while you visit with the author and illustrator, and check out our books and toys. Special sales will be going on too!
December Observances
December is Animal Sanctuary Appreciation Month, as well as these specific animal observations:
Monthly Challenge
As the weather gets colder, we usually go back in our closets for more layers. This year, think of those in the community that might not have that option and donate clothes and household goods to a thrift store or charitable organization. Most of these organizations, especially the larger ones, have a streamlined process to get unsold goods to humanitarian aid around the world and to handle unsaleable items for salvage efforts and divert them from landfills. All with the added bonuses of helping you declutter your home and knowing that you made a difference for someone in need! It's a win-win for everyone involved.
Animal Fact
Cheetahs are the fastest mammals on land. They can run up to 70 miles per hour (that’s like a car on the highway)! There are less than 10,000 cheetahs left in the wild grasslands of Africa.
