Project Chimps has recently announced that Kareem, the alpha male at the sanctuary and star of our book Hope for Kareem, has been diagnosed with cancer, specifically lymphoma. Kareem spent 29 years being a research chimpanzee before arriving at Project Chimps in 2018, where he became a great, and compassionate leader.
